John P. Haselmann
Founder & Managing Partner
Currently, Mr. Haselmann is the Founder and Managing Partner of IMS, and is primarily responsible for determining the strategic direction of the business. He started IMS 20 years ago with a vision of becoming one of the premier consulting organizations in the world.
His varied managerial, entrepreneurial and teaching experience includes:
Founder, Chairman and President of Entity Advertising and Graphics, Inc., a full service advertising agency that served the needs of many corporate clients with public relations, advertising, market research, and other information based services;Founder, Chairman and President of Trinet, Inc. (originally the Information Management Group). Trinet (IMG) provided consulting, telemarketing, data and data processing services to large corporations primarily with business-to-business markets. The main focus of the business' 70 employees was to improve the productivity (revenue to expense ratio) of the marketing and sales processes of client companies.
Manager of Marketing Science Organization at AT&T. He was responsible for planning and directing the activities of a group of 100 multi-disciplined advanced degree professionals responsible for providing the marketing organization with technical expertise in the areas of marketing research, statistical data analysis, data base development, data mining, model development and systems simulation that was used by internal client's for supporting tariff filings, new product evaluations and introductions as well as other revenue generating projects; Operations Research and Management Science Department Manager at Western Electric Company (now Alcatel-Lucent) where his responsibilities included planning and directing the activities of a group of 50 multi-disciplined advanced degree professionals responsible for the development of computer-based process control systems, as well as integrated corporate financial planning models and statistical data analysis; Other assignments at Western Electric involved responsibility for developing new managing techniques workshops for corporate management and developing cost and time reduction methods for production and distribution systems.
Manager of Research Projects for Behavior Systems, Inc., including advertising effectiveness studies in both newspaper and magazine media, new product market potential assessment, product usage and expanded application potential assessment, market segmentation and strategy development, plant location optimization and corporate acquisition studies.
In addition, Mr. Haselmann has taught Macro & Micro Economics, Advanced College Algebra and Calculus at the college level and Scientific Computer Programming at the graduate school level. Mr. Haselmann has also spoken at several colleges and universities (including Columbia School of Business, MIT Sloan School and the Wharton Graduate School) regarding his work in the application of scientific techniques and systems design to business functions.
Mr. Haselmann received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering (NJIT) and a Master of Business Administration in Industrial Management, Operations Research and Management Science from the Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Haselmann is also a member of the American Society of Professional Consultants, American Management Association and has been included in Marquis Who's Who in Finance and Industry since 1983, "Who's Who in America" since 1986 and "Who's Who in the World" since 1989.
Mr. Haselmann is also a founder and Executive Director of the Knowledge Management Information Systems Forum (KMIS) a group dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and supporting the professional development of the Knowledge Management Executive. The group conducts seminars for KM Executives that include three key elements: Meetings to share the experience & ideas of leading experts, One-on-One Sessions to discuss individual or confidential issues & Facilitation to discuss key issues with peers in such topical areas as "How to develop a Knowledge Based Culture" What are Knowledge Management Roles & Responsibilities", "How do you develop Knowledge Management Strategies"; etc.
Mr. Haselmann has also written a number of white papers on Process Improvement.
Greg Kaple
Senior Partner
Greg Kaple has more than 15 years experience in entrepreneurial ventures, business consulting and technology management together with a well demonstrated track record for strategic development, operational management and business results. As the Senior Partner with IMS, Mr. Kaple is responsible for developing strategic alignment between the Firm's vision and operations. He invests his focus and talent into helping clients understand their environments and envision the accomplishments to be achieved while keeping a steady hand on guiding the Firm's expert resources and knowledge management toward long term value creation.
Before founding Integrated Management Services Technology Management Practice in 2004, Mr. Kaple was responsible for managing enterprise and global clients AT&T. While at AT&T, Mr. Kaple grew their healthcare, education and professional services businesses to include 90% of the top tiered institutions in New York City. Prior to working with AT&T, Mr. Kaple served as a consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in their financial advisory and business turnaround and a product manager for Microsoft launching their seminal version of MS Project '98.
In his early career, Mr. Kaple served as a consultant for Ohio University's business incubator and the National Business Incubation Association where he assisted startup firm's like Specialty Books launch the first online bookstore in 1995 and establish the first venture capital matchmaking database for incubator startups. A serial entrepreneur himself, Mr. Kaple has founded more than seven individual businesses and nonprofit organizations including an internet research service, a collegiate fundraising franchise, an enterprise application online service provider and a series of consumer service and product ventures through his holding company GAK Enterprises.
Mr. Kaple serves as an Executive Board Member of the Ralph & Luci Schey Sales Centre at Ohio University where he also received his Bachelor of Business Administration. He also holds Masters of Telecommunications Management from The Stevens Institute of Technology.
Ed Winfield
Executive Director
Ed is the Executive Director for Integrated Management Services, a business process management consulting firm delivering business solutions to reduce cost and increase productivity. Based in New York city, IMS leverages the expertise of a broad base of executive level consultants to understand the unique operations environments in the legal, healthcare, and financial service industries and to create innovative solutions for reducing expenses, improving operations and controlling risk.
Ed began his career with GE Lighting on an intense entry-level program and rapidly progressed to management roles in information technology ultimately serving as the Manager, Global Engineering and Purchasing Systems. In this role he developed solutions for over 900 engineering and purchasing employees worldwide. In 1990, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, he was one of the first GE managers to visit Hungary to review IT and business integration.
Ed then went on to manage IT worldwide for the Automotive division of Eaton Corp., a global manufacturing company. As Manager, IT Worldwide, he reorganized and revitalized the IT organization, implemented ERP and finance systems, outsourced desktop support in Europe and achieved customer service excellence.
Prior to joining Integrated Management Services, Ed was the CIO Americas for Exel Logistics, a $12 Billion global logistics company which was later acquired by DHL International. As CIO Americas, he provided executive management for transportation, logistics, supply chain management and warehousing solutions for customers throughout the Americas region.
Over the course of his career, Ed has achieved a clear track record of innovation, leadership and accomplishments in driving IT to improve company operations, facilitate growth and build competitive advantage. He is highly skilled in aligning IT with company objectives, reducing costs, supporting mergers and acquisitions and impacting company operations. In 2002, Ed was recognized as a Top 100 CIO by Computerworld Magazine.
Erin Kromann
Expert Portfolio Director
Erin Kromann is the Expert Portfolio Director at IMS. Since joining IMS, she have been working almost exclusively on clients in the legal industry on DR, collocation, WAN, Document Management and Business Continuity Planning with expertise in Project management, vendor management, quality control and publishing IT and BCP documents. As a manager she prepares IMS consultants and management team to begin projects by developing and initiating the metrics, ensuring the Client has the expertise needed at each phase of the project and monitoring the project budget. As a consultant, she applies expertise in Business Continuity Planning, Business Impact Analysis, Graphic publication, Document Management, Retention Policies and Compliance issues in all aspects and phases of a project. Her contributions to projects combine both a discrete intention to consistently refine and update her expertise along with an ability to add Subject Matter Expertise and Management skills.
Prior to IMS, Erin was the Director of Marketing for an Educational Media company, Insight Media, Inc., developing organizational systems for the distribution of video advertising based on studying market trends, analyzing prime mailing targets and seasons as well as determining profitable mailing patterns of over 4 million pieces per year. At Financial Intergroup she performed research analysis in retirement accounts (401K plans) of US citizens. Combined research and critical analysis to help in preparation of ideas on behavioral motivation of individuals in companies choosing investments that affect the value of their retirement plans as well as later health care needs. This combined her working knowledge of behavioral finance models with existing investment processes. Erin spent three years in academics/research in Behavioral Finance at Columbia University. At HDX, a subsidiary of Siemens, Erin worked on EDI between hospitals (providers) and insurance companies (payers).
Ligia Quinn
Client Portfolio Director
Ligia Quinn has more than 10 years experience in Business Process Improvement, Financial Analytics and Risk Management, Strategic Planning and Client Relationship Management. As the Client Portfolio Director with IMS, Mrs. Quinn is responsible for IMS client development and management, and project initiation, development, and management. She manages the sales to project process from pre-sales qualification, proposal generation, and project initiation, project support, including project setup, project planning, tools and templates, workshops and project best practices. Mrs. Quinn is also involved in project management across all client engagements through the monitoring of project status and milestone review through IMS reporting and metrics.
Before joining IMS, Mrs. Quinn worked with Goldman Sachs managing day-to-day operations of their $7 billion proprietary hedge fund. She provided cost reporting, commission reporting, performance benchmarking, desk risk monitoring, business analytics and a monthly portfolio update for senior management. She performed firm-wide processes through coordination and communication with Legal, Compliance, MCD, Equities Mgmt, Firmwide Risk, Technology, and Controllers. She also managed GSPS Broker relationships including monitoring commission allocation, tracking by region, communication to brokers, broker/vendor management, and performed quarterly broker review. At Bear Sterns Ligia was a Financial Analyst in their two-year Controllers Financial Analyst Program in which she participated in six-month rotations through a variety of accounting disciplines within the Controllers Group.
